Puʻuhonua o Puʻuhuluhulu is a sanctuary and place of refuge established during the Maunakea protests to protect sacred Hawaiian lands. It serves as a cultural and educational hub, offering workshops, ceremonies, and resources to support the movement for the protection of Mauna a Wakea from the Thirty Meter Telescope.

An arm of the “Mauna Medics” from the Maunakea protests, which serviced victims of the Lahaina fires of 2023. This Maui-based collective mobilizes health professionals and community healers during times of crisis. They offer emergency care, trauma relief, and holistic healing, especially during natural disasters. Their work integrates indigenous medicine with modern wellness tools.
